The package materials will need different periods to break down into inorganic elements.
Made of plant-fiber same as paper, it can easily degrade into inorganic elements in 30~90 days
Blown film of mixed polylactic and Polybutylene adipate-co-terephthalate, usually works as inner sealing layer

All the compostable film substrates we adapt are subject to human food safety, which complies with FDA and EC regulations. Entrusted inspection by third-party institute like SGS can be performed against customer requirements on specific items. Just reach us if you want to know more about the inspections.
You will have to request an approval from the certificate insitute if you want to print their logo onto your packages. As the film materials certificated compostable by the institute can only prove the compostability of the film materials, and the film materials with your artwork will be considerated as a whole different package, so please request an approval to print their logo if you want to.
Basically, kraft paper is the easily material to compost, following cellulose, metallized paper, PBS film, BOPLA film, and PLA+PBAT film. and, the composting effeciency is largely affected by the actitives of micro-organisms. So the laminated foil materials may need 180 days to compost in industrial conditions, and longer time in home and soil conditions. BOPLA and PLA+PBAT film will not fully degrade in soil conditions even in several years. Please learn more on our composting tests in different conditions.
Our company is trying to keep a minimum stock on PLA+PBAT film as it is versatile to deteriorate as of its performance of compstability. so usually we will have to require a MOQ to start the order produce especially the customer want to print their logo on the packages. We will try to support your trial run as long as we have the film materials available in our stock.
CCustomer artwork can be achieved onto the packages in gravure, flexo and offset printing if customer prefers a paper appearance. Gravure printing is available if the customer artwork is printed onto film substrate, such as cellulose film or BOPLA film.
Normally, we commit 30 days of lead time after receiving the advance and customer confirmation on print proofs. Sometimes, there may be some delye of metallized cellulose film, as it will needs further process of vacuum metallization, which should be well done by the metallizing factory.
